Here is my Apple pez character. This piece had the general concept of the apple from the garden of Eden bible story. I’m not sure why, but i often use religious parallels within my work, but I’m not a very religious person. Any way, i also felt like this was the apple that fell on Newtons head (or so the story goes). I’m not trying to retell either story, i just feel those ideas when i look at the piece. I used a stencil on the piece and colored it in pencil and colored pencil. My favorite part is the pencil stencil (say that fast) within the dispenser handle. I just love the texture of that portion. I love the slight shade difference, subtle but effective. I like this piece. It’s one that i enjoy, but far from a top 10.
